About Mireia Fàbrega — Mixed Media Artist
Mireia Fàbrega is a mixed media artist based in Alicante, Spain. Her paintings explore personal transformation, emotional depth, and our connection to the natural world — created through layers of acrylic, oil, gold leaf, ink, and collage on canvas and fine art paper.
Before becoming a professional artist, Mireia built a career in European project management, working with Erasmus and Erasmus Mundus programmes. Art, meditation, and nature were always present in her life — not as an escape from her work, but as a parallel path. Over time, that path became her calling. Today she paints full-time, and each work carries the same qualities that guided her earlier career: intention, care, and a deep respect for the people on the other side.
Mission
Her practice is rooted in expressive mark-making and symbolic imagery — octopuses, lotus flowers, butterflies, botanical forms — each carrying personal and universal meaning. She works in mixed media, layering paint, gold leaf, vintage papers, spray paint, and fine detail work to create surfaces that reward close looking. No two pieces are alike. Each is made once, by hand, and signed as a one-of-a-kind original.
Mireia has exhibited her work in Belgium and Spain.
