Who I am

This website, mireiafabrega.com, is operated by Mireia Fàbrega Iglesias, an independent artist based in Alicante, Spain. If you have any questions about how I handle your personal information, please write to me at mireiafabrega.art@gmail.com. I will always reply personally.

1. What information I collect and why

I collect only the information I genuinely need to run this website and process your purchases.

Information you give me directly:

  • Your name and email address when you subscribe to my newsletter or contact me

  • Your name, delivery address, and payment information when you purchase a painting

  • Any messages or requests you send me through the contact form or by email

Information collected automatically:

  • Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and how you navigate the site. This is collected automatically by Wix (my website platform) and is used only to keep the site secure and functioning. I do not use this data to identify you personally.

Payment data: I do not store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by Wix Payments, PayPal, or Stripe depending on your chosen method. Please review their privacy policies for details on how they handle your payment data.

2. How I use your information

I use your information only for the following purposes:

  • To process and ship your order and communicate with you about it

  • To reply to your messages and enquiries

  • To send you my newsletter, if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time)

  • To comply with my legal obligations under Spanish and EU law

I will never sell your information to third parties. I will never use your information for any purpose you have not consented to.

3. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, I process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: When you purchase a painting, I process your data to fulfil our agreement

  • Consent: When you subscribe to my newsletter, you give me explicit consent which you can withdraw at any time

  • Legal obligation: Tax and accounting records as required by Spanish law

4. Who I share your information with

I share your data only with the service providers strictly necessary to run my business:

  • Wix.com — my website and store platform

  • PayPal / Stripe / Wix Payments — payment processing

  • Shipping carriers — to deliver your painting (name and delivery address only)

  • Mailchimp — email newsletter management, if you have subscribed

All providers are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with GDPR. I do not share your data with anyone else.

5. How long I keep your information

  • Order data: 5 years, as required by Spanish tax law

  • Newsletter subscriptions: Until you unsubscribe

  • Contact messages: Up to 12 months, or until our conversation is resolved

  • Website analytics: As set by Wix's platform settings (anonymised after 26 months)

6. Your rights under GDPR

As a resident of the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — you can ask me what data I hold about you

  • Correction — you can ask me to correct inaccurate data

  • Deletion — you can ask me to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
